LG G3 Stylus with 5.7-inch display

Last month, prolific tipster evleaks – now retired, sigh – had tipped about LG working on a new series with G Stylus and G Vu. Recently a promotional video for the G3 Beat accidentally leaked the device, now known as G3 Stylus. And now, some more details about the G3 Stylus have surfaced.

A user agent profile on the LG website has listed a new phone with model number LGD690n, believed to be a variant of the LG G3. It doesn’t give away much, except for a display with 540 x 960p qHD resolution.

On the other hand,  an import listing on Indian import tracking website Zauba also reveals a phone with the same model number. It has also listed the complete specs of the device including a 5.7-inch 720p display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and support for 4G LTE. The device is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat. On the camera front, it gets an 8MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.

The smartphone also comes with 8GB onboard storage. According to the listing , it is priced at Rs 11,035. However, this is just the indicative price. A report by Korean Times, citing people related to the matter, states  the launch of the Stylus is not yet official but could take place by the end of the third quarter.

Though the G Stylus was highly speculated to compete with Samsung’s Note series, several reports have been pointing out that it isn’t a Note competitor and should fall under the budget segment.
